Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines Graphics Overhaul

0829

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has a lot to live up to, despite being a game ostensibly about the undead.Its predecessor was a cult classic released in 2004 that, despite never really reaching mainstream appeal, ended up being regarded as one of the major innovators of action RPGs even a decade-and-a-half later. Re: VMB GRAPHICS MOD - ENB Series - Realistic Preset - Embrace the Darkness « Reply #4 on: February 16, 2016, 06:19:44 PM » I have tried your graphical mod and i must admit that it look pretty sick though at times it can become really dark that i do not really see anything although i set the gamma to the highest level.

MasqueradeI always liked 'Terran Vampires' mod by Zorak Ramone, for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, inspired by White Wolf’s 'Vampire: The Masquerade' game. So i decided to draft up some ideas for VTM based Skyrim vampire clans. Let me know what you think..

Vampire Clans; Disciplines [and possible starting bonus]
Most of the information is directly taken from the VTM:Bloodlines PC game manual, a buggy yet great game that bought back in 2004.
Brujah; Celerity, Potence & Presence [Gloves of the Pugilist]
Passionate idealist, whose zeal can lend them to trouble since they ten to make arguments with fists and not words. They remind me of the Stormcloaks!
Gangrel; Animalism, Fortitude & Protean [Kyne's Blessing]
If any clan were close to the inner-beast, it would be the wildly nomadic Gangrel, usually preferring to be loners. With their feral nature, they are much more attuned to animals.
Malkavian; Auspex, Dementation & Obfuscate. [Fork of Horripilation (Fork with Silver Sword stats)]
Insane by nature, they see the world in a different light than anyone else. This 'insight' allows Malkavians to see the true intentions of others. However, it also means they have a much more difficult time communicating with others on occasion.. Cheese for everyone!
Nosferatu; Animalism, Obfuscate & Potence [Lose Illusion bonus]
Hideous and disgusting cursed with a grotesque form, forced into the shadows of the night..
For this I was originally thinking of only having Vampiric stages 2, 3 and 4. However, that would be too debilitating, so how about the player is forced bald, but can 'Feed' on weak animals.
Toreador; Auspex, Celerity & Presence [Easier to become Thane]
Envisioning themselves as artists and visionaries, they seek the best of refinements, believe in being on the cutting edge and wearing haute couture.. Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh what am I saying - of course you don't...
Tremere; Auspex, Dominate & Thaumaturgy [Increase Order of Execution rate]
The least trusted of the clans, the Tremere are blood sorcerers, using blood magic and guarding their secrets quite religiously, and do not take outsiders into their confidence. Reminds me of the Psijic Order and power-lust of the Aldmeri Dominion.
Ventrue; Dominate, Fortitude & Presence [10,000 Septims]
A sense of noblesse oblige has long pervaded the clan, accompanied by the genuine belief that the Ventrue know what's best for everyone. http://whitewolf.wik...ki/Ventrue_(VTM

Disciplines are vampiric powers, each clan has three disciplines, some are unique to that clan, so I went over the Spells, Shouts, Blessings, etc, to draft up some ideas for powers, perhaps once a day use, others just learning a spell, or even having a like skill or ability. Again, I'm basiclly just pulling descriptions for this right out of the VTM:Bloodlines PC game manual, as well as from the WhiteWolf Wikia.
Animalism - Allows the vampire to use the beast that resides within to contact and manipulate nearby animals, at the vampires bidding these animals act as weapons against their enemies.
My suggestions - Conjure Familiar; Totem of Brotherhood; Spriggan Sap; Animal Allegiance; Huntsman's Prowess; Blessing of Kynareth;
Auspex - Grants supernatural senses and allows the vampire to see the auras of those nearby.It is one of the most common and favoured Disciplines among Vampires, due to its versatility and overall usefulness in just about every facet of vampiric existence.
My suggestions - Detect Life; Detect Undead; Clairvoyance; Blessing of Dibella;
Celerity - Grants the Vampire to move at extraordinary speeds. As they move faster and faster, the world around them appears to slow down, allowing them to close within a few seconds and throw some devastating blows before the target can react.
My suggestions - Move Faster; Elemental Fury; Slow Time; Whirlwind Spirit; Become Ethereal;
Dementation - Cursed with insanity or perhaps blessed with craziness, this discipline is the special power of the Malkavians to channel their madness and force it into the minds of those around them.
My suggestions - Fear; Fury; skill Rage, skill Aspect Of Terror; Call Storm (Blessing of Sheogorath, non-damaging salmon instead of lightning),
Dominate - With the superior strength of the vampiric mind, vampires with this discipline can control the minds of the weak to their benefit.
My suggestions - Calm, Courage, Blessing of Zeninthar, skill Hypnotic Gaze;
Fortitude - Grants supernatural endurance and resistance.. Not sure what else to say
My suggestions - remove Fire Weakness; Oakflesh; Steadfast Ward; Blessing of Arkay; Blessing of Stendarr; Histskin;
Obfuscate - The power to make one's physical self disappear, whether this is in the dark shadows of an cave or under the bright shine of the sun, those who use this discipline can can from anyone, including characters standing just a few feet away.
My suggestions - Invisibility; Muffle; Blessing of Nocturnal; skill Stealth; skill Light Fingers; skill Golden Touch;
Potence - The ability of vampires to increase their strength to unnatural levels, a vampire with this discipline can bend Solid Dwemer Metal as if it were Nirnroot.
My suggestions - Berserker Rage; Unrelenting Force; Adrenaline Rush;
Presence - I struggled with this one, because it's described as supernatural charm and attraction, as a discipline that can instil dread and cowering fear. Which means it would conflict with the Dementation and Dominate.. So i thought of Presence as a force, an influence, or absence.
My suggestions - Paralysis; Turn Undead; Disarm; Throw Voice; Battle Cry; Candlelight; Become Ethereal;
Protean - Available only to the Gangrel clan, this discipline allows the vampire to manipulate their own physical form, from quite subtle right up to a bestial form.. Perhaps only Argonian and Khajiit can be Gangrel and remove my idea of a limited Beast form (?).
My suggestions - Claws; Water Breathing; Night Vision; Huntsman's Prowess; Blessing of Kynareth; Beast Form (no feeding);
Thaumaturgy - Guarded closely by the Tremere clan, this is a discipline of blood magic, using their own vitae, the Tremere can manipulate the targets blood for some devastating results.
My suggestions - Equilibrium; Blessing of Akatosh; Blessing of Julianos; Blessing of Mara; stronger Vampiric Drain; Nightingale Strife;

Thanks for getting this far, i was going to try my hand at modding then i took an arrow to the knee. Hopefully someone will be inspired by my ideas, but i'll settle for enjoying my rambling. Feel free to comment and what-not.

Vampire The Masquerade Graphics Mods

Rednog:
I honestly don't think there is much to say here, so I'll just post this.
Seriously once you go malk you can't play anything else.

That said, it is a shame how fun Malks are in the game but in LARP people play them terribly.

Depends on the LARP. At mine we had a Malk ruling on Path of the Tyrant for over a year. He was absolutely fucking terrifying. The worst moments were when you were having a conversation, and he'd just loom in from out of nowhere in the middle of Gather, sit down, and join in. You could just feel the tension at the table spike as it happened.

On topic though, I'm going to pick not my favourite clan from the game, since they all feeled pretty interchangeable (though if I had to pick, my experience with Tremere was most enjoyable), but rather my favourite clan in general, the Ventrue. Been playing as one for almost two years at my LARP, and I've been through almost every position with him (Still my first LARP character, so I had more of the intention of wanting to go and try everything once at least, and then figure out what I'd want from a new character, but I'm still getting a lot of fun out of him). I love it as well since I have pretty much moved into the position of having a lot of Status with little responsibility. That and the disciplines are also really enjoyable. Majesty for crowd control, Dominate for one on one, and Fortitude for everything else. The best part was when I bought my final dot of Fortitude, we had a Praxis seizure that night, and all the supporters of the previous Prince (that included me), were taking refuge in a facility that was suddenly frozen. Well over a dozen kindred were frozen into torpor. The only ones left standing was the Ventrue and Tremere Primogens who had taken shelter in a wall of flames that the Tremere had placed up, one other under the Tremere's accounting, and myself, who simply stood in the middle of it and soaked all the damage and won almost all the tests for it. Since then, half of the Brujah in the city have begun to call me Warren 'The Tank' Voorhees.
