Sonic Retro user Morph and several others have gone through Sonic Adventure DX and created a mod that restores the lighting effects that were previously seen in the original Sonic Adventure into the PC version. The difference gives off more vibrant colors in the environment that also reacts to objects and characters. SADX Dreamcast Conversion mod by PkR. Dreamcast Conversion is a mod for Sonic Adventure DX PC that brings back Dreamcast levels, textures, object models, special effects and branding. After a year's worth of sheer dedication and hard work, the clever folks at Sonic Retro have completed a collection of mods for the PC version of Sonic Adventure DX that completely restore the Dreamcast version's graphics and lighting effects.

Description:

This mod attempts to restore Dreamcast assets (including levels, textures, sounds and some objects/effects) in Sonic Adventure DX PC. The main focus of this mod is porting Dreamcast Sonic Adventure Action Stages, Adventure Fields and boss arenas to SADX. Some level object ports have also been done to improve texture quality and restore missing detail, animations and effects. A companion mod called Sound Overhaul restores some of the deleted sounds and replaces most ingame sound effects with higher-quality sounds ripped from the Dreamcast version. The long-term goal of this project is to reproduce the Dreamcast SA1 experience in SADX PC as accurately as possible, including graphics, sound, branding etc. This mod is designed for use with SADX Mod Loader. It is split into several mini-mods which you can enable or disable independently.
