   Wow thanks!! Finally I got a solution for this. It's a little tricky, but it WORKS!

   I can no longer scroll down to see menu items and 3 clicks does not turn the voice off. HELP! How do I get my phone back to where it was before I tried this turning on text-to-speech. I cannot access the turn-off button because I cannot scroll. HELP!

It told me what I expected to learn, that I do not want the Google Lady reading a book to me. I think I'd rather just make up stories and talk to myself. Amazon should provide more audio books. Books with low volume sales should have a low budget book reading. In most cases, I think the author should read the book.

   Continous reading does not work even though I do swipe right and double tap the screen. Sansung Galaxy S7 with newest software installed.

   Great video, but painful feature. Don't think Google thought this one through before releasing it. Probable better to just buy the Audiobook and let it read kindle for you.

   JUST MAKES ME SO ANGRY THAT VOICE READING WITH SCREEN OFF DOESN'T COME STOCK ON KINDLE OR GOOGLE BOOKS. THIS SUCKS LIKE A THIRSTY WHORE.

    Is there any way to use TTS without Talkback? Its useful, but I find it hard to use, since its a screen reader, it reads EVERYTHING on screen, including the menus, and you have to select everything three or four times.

    It tells me to 'swipe right then double tap to start continuous reading' then when I try to swipe it just clicks the screen... ugh

    Thanks! This helped A LOT! I was still cursing up a storm as there were problems unrelated to your solutions. It's just so damn wacked out. Seriously, they've gotta do a better job. I can't even turn the page while it's on. At least you clarified the triple-click thing... that's invaluable and makes the whole thing possible. With your help it is a bit less of a total nightmare.

    So I downloaded the voice and it works all the way up to when I want to read it in continuous mode from page page. It switches back to the robotic voice. How do I prevent that?
