Setting It Up
There’s a great website called Wireless Orange that has everything you need in order to get going. The program on offer is called WO Mic. It requires a Windows program, a driver and an Android app to be installed, but these are all light downloads and won’t consume much space. There is a premium version of the app available, which offers better audio quality, but for general purposes the free one will do just fine.
Head to the relevant page, download what’s necessary and run the installers. They’re all self explanatory, so just progress through the wizards until everything is complete. Now it’s time to get them in action. Launch the app on your smartphone and the program on your computer.
The app supports connection from your smartphone to your computer using Bluetooth, WiFi and USB. For the best connection, opt for the wired USB choice. If that’s not possible then go for WiFi, then Bluetooth as the last resort. You can adjust your connection type by going to Settings within the smartphone app.
Now press Start on the app. Then, on the Windows program, go to Connection > Connect…, select your connection type, then hit OK. That’s it! You’re good to go.
You shouldn’t run into any problems, but if you can’t get the microphone to pick up audio, then do a system search for manage audio devices and select the result. Then select the Recording tab, click the connected device and then Set Default.
Alternative Methods
There are other methods for different types of smartphones, but the downside is that these require the use of an audio connection jack. These haven’t been tested, but Real Microphone for Windows Phone and Megaphone Free for iOS should do the trick. Download these apps, hook your phone to your Windows computer using a male-to-male headphone jack and your phone should then function as computer microphones. Again, head to audio device management on your PC if it isn’t initially recognised.

I have WO Mic on my phone and on my computer (aka the client) and WO Mic will not appear in my recordings tab. I have windows 8.1 and I make videos and I need a better mic and apparently my phone's microphone is the best that I have.
I tested Real Microphone (WP) and it works. However there is a little lag but the sound quality is great.
Well there are two installation for windows, 1aplication 2 driver.. without driver you cannot find sound device. but I have other problem..
I need MIC Boost (Mic AGC) to be disabled.. I set 0.01 db but still have more sensitive mic.. 0 set mic off :(... there should be some kinda option into wo mic that enables or disable mic bosst, I am just studying msdn to understand and edit womic.inf (audio driver) but I and still reading.. :( issuing new driver that have custom won't be a issue to wo mic publisher in windows 10 ..

latency problem
I think it will work if I simply cut the male to male audio jack in the middle and connect it back but alternate to before now if I connect phone and pc the speaker output of phone will directly go to mic input of pc. But I have not tried.

How will I ise this on skype? Cause the mic sound was only coming out on my speaker, i can't connect it on skype

what if you don't want another mic, or can't afford?annoyingly, I achieved this a month or 2 back - I don't have any mics :( the internal mic on my dell xps l502x captures too much fan-background-noise.
I managed to get my iphone working as an external, wired mic -
I can't remember if it was a software (virtual mic driver) or just audio routing (iphone out > behringer usb stereo in > pc, or just a jack), but can't seem to replicate the correct, working config.update: THAT particular wtf was fixed by setting the recording rate to 2x16bit, 44100. I've used an Xbox 360 wired controller with a Turtle Beach headset as a Windows 8.1 microphone for Google Hangouts and Steam voice chat. A regular 360 mic works as well. The only caveat is that the official Microsoft Xbox 360 drivers must be installed in compatibility mode for Windows 7. After the installation, plugging a headset into the 360 controller automatically installs the headset drivers, which then shows up as a recording device in the Sound control panel.
I turn my Android phone into a web cam with DroidCam Wireless Webcam. I needed it for Respondus LockDown Browser BS!!!
